This job role was a fast work space due to working in the Emergency Dept. Trauma Level 1. Imet with patients and/or patient's caregiver to exchange necessary information and documentation for registration. I verified insurance benefits and obtained precertification/authorization as necessary.I determined and accepted required payments; including, co-pays and deductibles. I referred to financial counselors for follow up on the patient's insurance. I also ensured that all necessary demographic, billing, and clinical information is obtained and entered in the registration system with timeliness and accuracy.
