Conducted trauma informed interviews with survivors of domestic and sexual abuse and human trafficking. Utilized the information gathered during the interview to redact effective emergency orders of protection. During my time working as a victim court advocate 99.9% of my order of protections were approved. Provided support for victims in court and ran virtual court. Provided follow up resources to the victims such as referrals for shelter, counseling, legal aid, Pat’s Place, etc. Run a monthly support group for survivors and represented Safe alliance at different events raising awareness.

Overseeing the safety of our school by following protocols and staying aware. Answered phones and emails and maintaining calendars. Provided excellent above and beyond costumer service to the school and community. Supplies ordering and closet organization. Calling in the fire drills, timing it, and submitting the reports to CMS. Maintaining emergency evacuation kits, making copies, fax, and emails. Covering the nurse duties when she was not available. Taking messages, filtering and forwarding appropriate calls. Emailing the proper staff member the concerns or questions from our families. Placing work orders, intercom announcements in English and Spanish. Volunteering at events and open houses.Family Advocate: provided support to the admin team, counselors and staff in general for all students and when language was a barrier. Assisted SRO and CMPD officers with investigations including missing students and possible gang activity by providing information, translating and interpreting.Attended re-instatement meeting as well as 504 for the purpose of interpreting, advocated for necessary accommodations for students. During Covid, visited student’s homes to help them log in to virtual school and maintain attendance.Created a database with information and resources for our families and staff. Helped the families and the staff connect with each other. Made thousands of phone calls to help maintain attendance. Translated any documents needed.I also covered the attendance secretary position when needed and was promoted to the registrar position.Reason for leaving: My husband and I gained custody of our 2 grandchildren; Adapting to the new family dynamic and the children needs required more time than what I had available while working.

2 years PTA president, 2 years treasurer, 1 year secretary at elementary school and 1 year at middle school and high school. Member of the School Leadership Team at Southwest Middle and Olympic Highschool. Volunteer running the school store every day, also the uniform closet. Covered the front office when any of the secretaries were absent. Covered classrooms as a substitute teacher, during EOG. Helped the office of registration welcoming new families and translating paperwork and helping those that couldn't read or write. Helped the attendance secretary and nurse making phone calls about vaccine compliance and attendance. Led a team that took an almost empty PTA account to a record fundraised amount. Volunteered as a reading buddy and for 4 years was the head coach of Odessey of the Mind. Fundraised and volunteered to rebuild the ROTC officer's room at Olympic Highschool and organized the Holiday luncheons and dinners for the staff at 4 different schools.
