As the Senior Manager of the Early Education Branch of the Division of Child Development and Early Education (DCDEE), I provide leadership and oversight of the statewide NC Pre-K Program, which serves approximately 29,000 at-risk, eligible 4 year-old children across the state of North Carolina via partnerships with 91 local NC Pre-K contracting agencies; the Early Educator Support Unit, which provides licensure support to Lead NC Pre-K Teacher in non-public schools and the Workforce Education Unit, who is responsible for evaluating the education and qualifications of early childhood professionals seeking employment in licensed child care in North Carolina. In addition, I provide programmatic oversight by serving as the authorized point of contact and subject matter expert for all assigned contracts to ensure scope of work is carried out according to contract terms and conditions while also identifying barriers that impede progress in meeting section and division goals. Most importantly, I develop and strengthen relationships with internal and external stakeholders and community leaders to implement, monitor and evaluate early education and Pre-K services in accordance with regulations, policies and legislative mandates while promoting the mission of the Division of Child Development and Early Education (DCDEE) to support high quality educational experiences to the children and families of North Carolina.

- Review assigned Child Care, Head Start and/or Early Head Start programs as required by the Office of Head Start, a Head Start Regional Office, and/or DLH/Danya. - Monitor programs using appropriate monitoring protocols to collect and evaluate data based on program systems. - Analyze data to develop an understanding of the programs' proficiency in providing quality services that meet the needs of the children and families in their service area in accordance with federal guidelines and standards. - Utilize data to evaluate the overall quality of the programs' operational systems. - Prepare and provide results and other information of the reviewed program to the Office of Head Start and/or applicable DLH/Danya authorized representative.

- Supported and monitored the Shape NC program to ensure that children start kindergarten healthy and ready to learn. - Ensured that the services provided under this grant accommodated children with disabilities or different physical abilities as well as children and families from varying backgrounds, including English language learners. - Was responsible for marketing, identifying, recruiting and orienting new Shape NC Child Care sites in coordination with other staff.

- Responsible for enrollment and the implementation and monitoring of family centered services to 1359 children in 3 program options across 4 counties. - Heavy focus on ERSEA and Family Engagement & School Readiness.

- Responsible for enrollment and the implementation and monitoring of family centered services to 1167 children across the largest single county Head Start in North Carolina. - Heavy focus on team building, systems, strategic planning, ERSEA, Family Engagement & School Readiness.- Increased internship within the Family Services unit by building partnerships with local colleges and universities. - Developed and trained diverse staff to reflect communities need at all 13 locations throughout Greensboro and High Point.- Increased team approach to assist with collaboration across all service areas of Head Start.

- Operated a school with a licensed capacity of 165 children and approximately 30 plus staff daily. Ensured all state licensing regulations were adhered to and conducted tours with potential families. - Helped increase parent participation and team approach to conflict.
