I have always loved working with people. I have never left an interaction without learning something new. As an anthropologist at heart, I understand the value of connecting with different perspectives - of truly listening and taking the time to analyze and reflect. While Anthropology gave me the tools to understand human behaviour, I was always left with a desire to apply what I had learnt and to implement solutions where conflict was found. A few years ago, I took a course in Organizational Behaviour and I fell in love. I was introduced to the fields of Labour Relations and Human Resources; I realized I could have a greater societal impact with the skills I had acquired. Organizational development is my passion. Coming up with solutions to increase job satisfaction and bring out the best in people is something that inspires me. After all, people spend about a third of their lives at work. That is a substantial amount of time and it is never a waste of resources to seek to improve it. I look forward to opportunities that will allow me to grow and build experience in this trajectory.
