As an Administrative Technician at City of Virginia Beach Police Department, I support the law enforcement operations by providing accurate and timely data entry, retrieval, and analysis. I have a keen eye for detail and quality control, and I use Microsoft Excel to manage and manipulate large datasets.I am also a student of Forensic Science at Tidewater Community College, where I am learning the theoretical and practical aspects of crime scene investigation, evidence collection, and laboratory analysis. I am passionate about applying my knowledge and skills to help solve crimes and uphold justice in the community.Previously, I served as an Aviation Maintenance Technician in the US Navy for five years, where I led teams of technicians in performing preventive and corrective maintenance on aircraft systems and components. I received the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal for my outstanding performance and leadership. I also have a CPR certification from the American Red Cross and I am fluent in Spanish.I am motivated with a strong work ethic and a quick-witted ability to learn new things. I am looking for a law enforcement entry-level position that will allow me to use my PSDSA skills, forensic science education, and navy experience accordingly. I am eager to contribute to the mission and vision of a reputable and dynamic organization.
