About Lorena Mcdowell

Lorena McDowell has been the Director of the Fraser Public Library since her start there in 2014, and a committed library advocate since 2007. She has lived, studied, and worked abroad, giving her a unique insight into the multicultural elements presented by today’s patrons. Prior to her role at Fraser Public Library, Lorena started her library career as a Substitute Librarian at the Traverse Area District Library in 2009, moving on to be a Library Technician at the Warren Civic Center Branch Library and making her way up to Branch Librarian by 2013. Lorena is an advocate of equal access, community outreach, and collection development.
