Manage the complete accounting cycle for the Latin American Regional Headquarters, creating monthly Financial Statements and consolidating year-end tax reports and closing statements for the region.• Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Foreign Corrupt Practice Act (FCPA), and SEC requirements as well as corporate guidelines.• Ensure that all financial and accounting information is accurate and updated for external and internal audit compliance. • Manage closing process for timeliness, accuracy and agreement to established guidelines. Handle any potential issues or variances that may emerge.• Supervise A/R and A/P function to ensure accuracy and agreement with corporate procedures.• Monitor expenses to ensure they remain within budgeted amounts; research and provide explanations for variances to upper management.• Prepare, review and consolidate annual and quarterly tax packages for the Latin American region. Review Latin American Headquarter tax returns and year-end tax accruals for completeness and accuracy.• Perform fixed asset counts and reconcile to fixed asset database.• Supervise physical inventory counts.• Assess and Control capital expenditures.• Analyze and establish price lists for customers to be used by Sales Team, based on prior year prices and margins. • Create recurring and ad hoc financial reports for senior management.• Establish and control ERP access of all users to ensure segregation of duties.• Update customer and vendor master lists in database. • Participate in selection and training of key role personnel for the finance department to create a cohesive high performing team.• Provide support and training to counterparts as well as other team members.
