Lorena is a Psychologist from Spain who has been working since 2007 with individuals and community groups, supporting them to overcome difficulties and bringing balance into their lives. She established herself in Dublin in 2009, where she achieved a Higher Diploma in Counselling & Psychotherapy and received an MA in Integrative Psychotherapy, First Class Honours, from Dublin Business School. For 4 years she worked in a Refuge centre empowering women and children who are fleeing domestic violence. Aditionally she has worked as Cross-cultural Psychotherapist in private practice in MyMind and as individual and group Psychologist in Spirasi the only specialist centre in Ireland for the care and rehabilitation of refugees, asylum seekers and survivors of torture. Subsequently, 4 years she resided in Carcassonne ( France) where she worked on her own Private practice as Psychologist and as Online Psychotherapist. Currently she works in INTRA-TP in A Coruña (Spain) and as Online Psychologist with clients from all over the world.Lorena’s training and theoretical background is in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and humanistic and integrative psychotherapy, incorporating psychodynamic and person-centred approach. Aditionally she trained in Sensorymotor Psychotherapy and EMDR.Lorena believes that each person has the capacity within themselves to maximize their potential and heal. Part of her job is to help each person find this potential within the therapeutic relationship.
