I am a licensed independent social worker who specializes in suicide prevention. In addition to prevention services, I provide direct outpatient therapy services to adolescents, where I practice using evidence-based interventions with a focus on family dynamics and trauma. I graduated from The Ohio State University College of Social Work with a master’s degree in Social Work with a concentration in Mental Health and Substance Misuse, and provide services in both English and Spanish. I have collaborated with fellow educators in the mental healthcare field creating content for mental health providers on topics of cultural humility and diversity and inclusion, have contributed to the development of social work academic curricula during my time at the Ohio State University, and support the work of local and state organizations by offering trainings on working with migrants and helping them in their settlement process once in the US. I was born and raised in Argentina and migrated to the US as an adult in pursuit of higher education, leaving my biological family behind. My experience as a migrant has shaped my understanding of systems of oppression and how these intertwine with everyday life to create inequities for minority individuals. I am a strong advocate for the Hispanic/Latinx/Latine community, and never turn down an opportunity to educate fellow practitioners and community partners on the diversity and needs of this population.
