Supplier Quality & Supplier Development

- Performed on-site supplier Quality System Assessment and Special Process Audits in order to assess compliance to defined requirements, including development of global Nadcap strategies and inspection delegation source inspection. Identified and drove system improvements.- Participated in the development and adaptation of a standard Aerospace Supplier Quality Manual, including process, forms, audit procedures and performance measures. This activity drove AS9100 conformance/certification.- Acted as escalation point for plants on chronic supplier performance issues. Assisted the supplier in problem solving and root cause analysis in order to eliminate recurrence. Worked with manufacturing plant Supplier Quality group on Focus Supplier program or other supplier management techniques.- Performed fundamental data analysis to determine performance level of suppliers. Set annual improvement targets for suppliers on an operational level. Communicated targets to responsible plant activities.- Implemented quality system tools and techniques such as 8D, FMEA, PPAP, FAI, SPC, or other industry best practices.- Participated in cross-functional teams involving the supplier and Eaton functions in order to seek flawless launch utilizing APQP techniques. - Joint team leader for Chrysler’s Material Cost Management Team. Implemented cost savings and quality initiatives valued at $200,000/year.- Served as liaison between OEM and Tier II under Supplier Integration, maintaining continuity between validation, design, analysis and cost reduction aspects. - Led implementation and set-up of new, multi-million dollar Chassis Validation Test Laboratory.
