ObjectiveTo broaden my career as a registered dietitian with advancement opportunity.I have worked as a Registered and Licensed Dietitian for over 18 years. Through out my career, I have utilized investigative processes and techniques to accurately collect data, interpret findings, and translate results into written and oral communication. As a Renal Dietitian, I managed patients with complex medical conditions in order to plan, develop, and coordinate medical nutrition therapy and develop interdisciplinary care plans. In efforts to maintain patient motivation, I developed compliance activities. Duties included discussion of monthly lab results, encouraging diet compliance/modification and providing recommendations for vitamin D therapy, initiation and dosage. As the dietitian for a new peritoneal dialysis clinic, I successfully developed Medical Nutrition Therapy guidelines. I have practiced in many areas of clinical dietetics in coordination with ancillary services. I am a confident consultant. I have managed enteral and/or parenteral nutrition for the critically ill, both short term and long term. I have provided MNT for gastrointestional and cardiovascular disease, congestive heart failure, as well as diabetes. I have provided MNT to patients with orthopedic or neurologic disorders during rehabilitation to help encourage independence during recovery. I practice advanced techniques in diet education. I have served as a mentor to students as well as other dietitians. I have worked in skilled nursing for the last 9 years.Specialties: Clinical Dietitics including screening, assessment, dietary recommendation, enteral feeding, instruction of modified diets, development of feeding regimens.
