Lorenzo S. Email and Phone Number
For the past six years, I’ve been pushing myself to new challenges, combining learning and projects, from MOOCs to various startups, blogs, websites, mobile apps, hackathons and other... My initial passion has been software engineering: I attended 500+ hours of MOOCs such as Web/Mobile Developer Bootcamps and Elements of AI from the University of Helsinki, launched a technical blog with more than 160,000 readers and a newsletter with 1,500 subscribers, mostly developers. This led to several job opportunities for worldwide companies as a developer and as a technical writer. I also tried to diversify my skill set with a focus on business engineering by taking several Coursera specialisations, such as the Graphic Design Specialisation (CALARTS), Legal Aspect of Entrepreneurship (University of Maryland) and Career Success Specialisation (University of California). This led to the development of Einote.com, an innovative startup for researchers on which I have been working for more than one year, reaching 500 users: it allows people to insert notes directly on web pages and pdfs and organize them in a centralized dashboard, thus managing and sharing easily digital knowledge. I also strongly believe in the importance of team building and collaboration. For instance, I founded at age 13 a gaming community that reached the leaderboards in Italy, at 14 a chat-based role-playing game (peaking at 100,000 messages per month) and more recently cofounded a social fitness company with an Harvard student. In engineering and physics, I have tried to enhance my education with the help of Khan Academy (High School Physics curriculum), Coursera (Physics for Entry level engineering, Ethics in Engineering) and Brilliant interactive courses. Thanks to this, I was second at the NASA space app hackathon Rome, acting as team leader. As an University of Exeter Engineering and Entrepreneurship Student, I’m deepening my multiple interests, including by being in the Committee of the Entrepreneurship Society, being in the core leadership team of the Student Marketing Agency, acting as a volunteer as a programming teacher for Excode and following the university pre-incubator programme.
