Research position in the Robotics, Perception and Real Time group of the University of Zaragoza. Currently collaborating with the ARDUA project which aims to solve the pose estimation, navigation and communication problems related with the autonomous deployment of robotic teams in underground environments. Inside this context, I am focused on the development of topological navigation approaches for UGV and Drones.

My work during this period was centered around two main projects. 1. The development of neutron-transmission simulation software in MATLAB to quickly iterate on tomography reconstruction methods. 2. Development of image-processing scripts capable of detecting crystallographic phases in sets of neutron-transmission images at different wavelengths by exploiting the presence of different Bragg-edges.

Short research stay at the ARL Group at NTNU. Worked in LiDAR odometry from compressed representations of LiDAR point clouds with the intent of using said representations to generate Topological maps of very large environments with low storage requirements but useful for autonomous robotic navigation. During these 4 months, I got to work around some of the greatest researchers I have ever met and gained a much more profound understanding of Deep Learning, Neural Network architecture design and training, and how to find my way in a novel field.
