I began my career with ILSA in 2006; I worked in the Surplus lines Department and soon became a supervisor while earning my Accounting degree in my spare time. My interest in the surplus lines compliance field grew, and I eventually got recruited by US Risk to be their compliance director.A few years later, I found myself at Acentria as their Operations Coordinator; however, while I was fond of my time at other companies, you can never replicate the feeling and family atmosphere presented at ILSA. This love of family atmosphere led me to come back to ILSA last year when they asked me to return as manager of the Surplus Lines Department.Surplus Lines Compliance is fascinating because of the challenge of finding solutions to situations my team members find when serving our clients. I like to combine my technological experience and forward-thinking to simplify and streamline things. I have always said that success is a moving target that is achieved over and over. For me, success means looking at where you were at this point last year and seeing improvements.
