I graduated in 2013 in a MSc in Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Pharmaceutical technologies, throughout which I was able to build a strong foundation on Organic and Medicinal Chemistry. My dissertation project was on synthesis of novel PPAR-alpha antagonists, under the supervision of A. Ammazzalorso. During the project, I gained firsthand experience on small molecule synthesis, purification and characterisation. After my graduation, I registered as a Pharmacist and worked for 2 years in a private Pharmacy. Thanks to this experience, I learned how to work effectively with people. I learned how to work as a team, as well as directing teams and holding a position of responsibility. I successfully completed a MSc in Drug Discovery and Pharmaceutical sciences at the School of Pharmacy at the University of Nottingham. Here, I gained further experience in the field of Medicinal chemistry, as well as insights in Pharmacological testing of drugs. Most importantly, I gained more academic-oriented and work-oriented research skills, which translated successfully in my PhD. My dissertation research focused on synthesis and conjugation of a BODIPY dye, under the supervision of B. Kellam. This project allowed me to further implement my Medicinal Chemistry skills.I joined the Advanced Therapeutics and Nanomedicines CDT in 2017 at the University of Nottingham, where I undertook a two training projects. The first project focused on NCA polymerisation and in vitro testing of the polymers on primary cell cultures, in order to test new materials for bone implants. The second training project was in collaboration with Boots and focused on the use of ToF-SIMS for imaging the penetration and degradation of an active through skin, when applied as a cream formulation. My PhD project, started in 2018, is in collaboration with Evonik Industries, and under the academic supervision of G. Mantovani, S. Stolnik, and P. Gerschkovich. The work focused on the synthesis, formulation and in vitro testing of novel polymers.I have joined Lucideon in July 2021 as a Pharmaceutical Scientist. In this role I worked alongside our technical and commercial teams to successfully manage, plan and deliver projects in the Pharmaceutical space. In February 2022, I was promoted to Healthcare Consultant. In this role, I am directly managing and delivering programmes across the healthcare space, focusing on applying my technical background to solve complex issues that our clients are facing.
Listed skills include Organic Synthesis, Purification, Polarimeter, Ir Spectroscopy, and 10 others.
