Community Organizer
CurrentMs. Cohen holds a Masters of Social Work from Temple University and currently holds the title of Community Mobilizer for West Chester Communities That Care.In her work with West Chester Communities That Care, Ms. Cohen uses data points from local, statewide and nationwide research to improve outcomes for area youth, specifically around youth mental health and underage substance use. She cultivates community partnerships with education, government, faith, business and media professionals to shape social norms that will lead to greater resilience among area youth. She creates community media campaigns to shape a local culture supportive of healthy behaviors for youth. She also establishes opportunities for youth to be a positive influence on peers by creating their own graphics and videos for social media. In her free time she loves hiking, watching live theater and teaching blind people how to ski (true story).
