Associate AdministratorU.S. Small Business Administration, Office Of International Trade Jun 2020 - Jan 2021Washington, District Of Columbia, United StatesServed at SBA during an unprecedented time in which the organization evolved and adapted to the challenges of the Covid 19 pandemic. SBA answered the challenged through the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act and the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act of 2021 which created the Paycheck Protection Program. Every division of SBA responded to assisting small disadvantaged, women and minority owned businesses to provide emergency financial support they needed to continuing weathering this time of uncertainty. And that was not just within the SBA — we coordinated with the Treasury, CFPB, even the USDA. The first round of the PPP, which ran from March to August 2020, was a historic success helping 5.2 million small businesses keep 51 million American workers employed. As the Associate Administer of the Office of International Trade, Greene served as senior staff and answered to Cabinet member SBA Administrator Jovita Carranza to increase the number of small business exporters as well as the volume of exports by American small businesses through SBA;s Export Loan Program. Greene oversaw the SBA’s programs related to federal and state trade development, international trade and finance, and international affairs and trade policy. Mandated by Congress, Greene served as the advocate for small businesses by having a seat at the table to negotiate for Free Trade Agreements. -
