With 24 years in education I have had the privilege of teaching grades 5-12. Throughout those years I have had the opportunity to act as a formal and informal leader in many different schools in public, private and homeschool communities. While leading an engaging classroom, I have facilitated Learning Communities, transformed CTF/CTS programs, supported colleagues in designing authentic and inclusive learning tasks, and established a grade 5-9 Wellness Room that fosters mental and social health support for 300+ students. I have provided in-house PD to practically support classroom teachers with challenging students to establish trauma sensitive classrooms in the effort to foster resiliency in learners.With the completion of my Masters of Education in 2015 and the anticipation to forward into an administrative role with the Calgary Board of Education, I am excited for the future prospects, challenges, and opportunities that will write the next chapter.Experienced Teacher with a demonstrated history of working in the education management industry.
