Providing specialist support for the Oceano ED system, used within the Cornwall NHS ED, MIU and UTC Departments , and also the Winscribe Dragon Medical Workflow Manager system, used through the RCHT Trust for digital dictation. (And soon to include speech recognition functionality). Working within the Clinical Systems Support Team, and collaborating with the Clinical Applications Projects Team, and other support teams, on system upgrades and enhancements, alongside the primary workload of live support and requests. On call rota cover for clinical and business systems. Live support of other clinical systems, alongside specialising in the above two systems. Assisting, leading and advising support staff on best practice, queries, troubleshooting, and being a link person, liaising with lead clinicians and suppliers on system requests, issues and enhancements.

Working within the Projects Team, on Nervecentre electronic observation system upgrades and developments. I have supported the Project Managers, scoping specialty requirements, liaising with end users and suppliers, and developing system items for specific departments. Testing of front and back end functionality on both desktop and mobile devices. Testing types covered include performance/overload, carrying out multiple tests within one section of the system at the same time, checking for errors, monitoring response times and correct prompts appear at correct times, or when specific data is entered. Patient scenario’s, various age ranges, observation scoring, alert functionality, ward types, admission types. Ensuring pick list options are correct, and produce the correct output when selected, and that charts and front end system screens and functionality display correctly. I have helped to review design specifications, provide status updates and details of change points to be raised with the Project Board for authorisation. Communicating with support teams, key contacts within the Trust, and the front end users has been another large part of this role. Providing advice on system capabilities, reviewing and ratifying change requests, advising of potential alternatives, if a request is not possible. I have completed JavaScript training with the supplier, on creating patient assessments, and created a number of sample assessments. I assisted the successful delivery of several upgrades and enhancements, including a change to the colours associated with patient RAG ratings, PSAAG, and updated mobile app versions. Visiting wards to scope layouts and individual requirements for PSAAG. Problem solving. User acceptance testing, creating help sheets and documentation, and demonstrating functionality changes and enhancements. Created, edited and run test scripts within JIRA, also assisting colleagues with this.

Account management and administration. Second line Clinical and patient systems support. Covering the first line ServiceDesk Support calls during meetings. Managing and completing software changes through our change process, providing functionality and problem solving advice electronically, over the telephone and in person. Project support, including floorwalking, user acceptance testing, testing of front and back end functionality, reviewing design specifications, and configuring back end tables and codes, as part of the Oceano ED, RiO, Bluespier, And Galaxy upgrades. Data correction and analysis. Supplying help sheets to support system changes, demonstrating system changes to end users and support staff. Creating procedures for front and back end use. Assisting with Serious Incident investigations. Mentoring and training team members, providing out of hours support for critical systems, patient affecting issues, and outages. I have also supported colleagues as a Senior Officer, in the absence of Team Leaders. Interface and system integration checks and testing. Representing IT at Corporate and Medical Inductions. Involved in service changes. Providing clinical and patient system support to the Cornwall NHS Trusts.
