Used SolidWorks to design, develop and release deliverables for manufacturers of commercial baking equipment. Used AutoCAD for plant layouts and dxfs used by laser cutter. Streamlined, reorganized and improved upon existing, proven designs of complex high-speed machinery. Followed the product designs from design and ideation stages, through the manufacturing and assembly process, created as-built drawing revisions, until finally factory acceptance testing.

Essential part of new product development teams at company which manufactured pipe joining solutions. Performed various design tasks based on data provided via spreadsheets and calculations. Used SolidWorks for prototype 3D concept models and performed assembly analysis. 2D part drawings created for pattern making and machining operations. Drawings used in all phases of design manufacturing, purchasing specifications, quality control documents, testing plans, and marketing. Drawings incorporated ANSI drafting standards and GD&T. Routine use of Microsoft suite and custom ERP system. Concurrent tasks included routine and general design updates to drawings and control documents.

Supplied updated as-built and redline drawings to support on-going projects for piping diagrams and space planning layouts. Used latest version of AutoCAD; provided RFI (Requests For Information) drawings and executed print requests. Worked as contractor for Manpower Professional.

AutoCAD and Inventor were used to create GA, P&ID’s, flow sheets, and 3D confined space piping layouts for the design and manufacture of biopharmaceutical process equipment. 3D submittal drawings were turned into detail, spool and assembly drawings for piping system/skids. Compared approved designs to manufactured equipment throughout the project lifecycle. Updated drawings and BOMs with accurate revisions for as built drawings and customer documentation. Created weld maps for quality control documentation of non-destructive testing to meet FDA and cGMP standards.

AutoCAD and SolidWorks were used to create 3D sub-assembly and top-level assembly drawings, and 2D part drawings and schematics for mechanical and electrical engineering departments. Revised existing drawings and performed all tasks necessary with BAAN ERP system, and Excel to process ECR (Engineering Change Requests) for a company that produced high performance metrology and inspection tools. Controlled documentation and released white papers to support engineering, purchasing, manufacturing, and customer service departments.

Performed redline tasks with AutoCAD for both mechanical and electrical departments. Used ERP software to update BOMs and finalized with documentation and control department. Contractor for company providing single-wafer and batch immersion wet processing solution to its’ customers.

Designed and detailed internal floating roof systems for large storage tanks which contained volatile and flammable liquids. The roofs were built from structural shapes and plate that had been welded into sub-assemblies, and assembled in the field with fasteners. Used MathCAD, Excel and custom visual basic programs during the design process, and AutoCAD 2005 for 2D general arrangement, fabrication drawings, and for 3D solid modeled assembly and installation drawings. Customer approval drawing packages submitted using Adobe Acrobat.

Taught pre-established curriculum at Bethlehem campus of Northampton Community College. Also taught highly customized on-site classes for major local manufacturers based on evaluation of student job function, needs and abilities. Produced 2D drawings of condensers for the power industry. The condensers were built from structural shapes and plate, welded into sub-assemblies, and then field welded into finished assemblies on-site. Trained drafting and engineering personnel in AutoCAD Mechanical, including BOM and Weld Symbol package. Certified ISO 9000 auditor,

Taught AutoCAD R13 for Windows up to and including Release 2005. Aided in the design of the AutoCAD curriculum, and the customization of the course materials. Also Taught 3-D Solid Modeling, AutoCAD LT, Xref & PaperSpace, and Update classes. Comprehensive knowledge of basic and advanced commands including 2D & 3D drawing techniques. AutoDesk certified to teach AutoCad 2000.

Responsibilities included 3D solid modeling and 2D detailing of drawings for aseptic piping systems, complex mechanical assemblies, and related details. Member of committee to develop and implement company wide CAD and engineering standards. Duties included development of standard drawing practices, testing of new software, and development of standards manual. Trained all newly hired engineers in 3D solid modeling and related procedures.
