My background is in research methodology, statistics, and family and human development. My research focuses on family, culture, and contextual processes that contribute to youth resilience that supports healthy development and educational pathways. My accomplishments include developing a federally funded research program in which I have effectively designed studies, analyzed and communicated results in collaboration with multiple stakeholders and researchers. I use varying methodological approaches to gain insights and utilize findings to solve complex problems with 25+ years of quantitative and qualitative research and development experience resulting in over 80 scientific publications. I believe in using science to help others, ensuring that the rigorous research I contribute to is useful to people's everyday lives.
