Completing over 1700 miles of my 2650 mile journey hiking from Mexico to Canada along the Pacific Crest Trail, and coming home to care for a dying relative gave me a new perspective. I realize now, unlike earlier in my career, just how valuable a wealth of life experiences are to compliment, and indeed improve, professional experiences.I practiced in the areas of asbestos litigation, toxic exposure and product liability. I also have experience representing clients in intellectual property, and criminal cases before state and federal courts at both the trial and appellate level. My range of legal experience provides me the arsenal necessary to the demands and changing landscape of complex litigation.Before moving to New York to practice with firms representing plaintiffs suffering devastating diseases caused by exposure to asbestos, I graduated from Seattle University with a B.A. in Philosophy. I moved east to attend and graduate from Harvard Law School in 2000. After graduation, I clerked for the Honorable Andre A. Gelinas (Ret.) of the Massachusetts Appeals Court. I served as an Assistant District Attorney with the Middlesex County District Attorney’s Office in Cambridge, Massachusetts before moving back to my home state. I practiced with Hendricks & Lewis, PLLC in Seattle, where I represented clients in trademark and copyright litigation and provided legal assistance to businesses in a variety of transactional and organizational matters. Then I worked with a Chicago firm in asbestos litigation and opened my own practice in Chicago continuing to focus in product liability and intellectual property cases, as well as employment discrimination and labor disputes.And now - I hike when I can, and look for my next adventure in life. With the lessons and experience of my professional and personal life, I am looking to build a rewarding and dynamic career, be it in law or elsewhere.
