I am a subject matter expert in labor and employment law with deep expertise in workplace safety and health (OSHA) issues. I thrive on solving complex workplace safety problems and serving as a trusted advisor to executive teams and stakeholders to mitigate risk, improve employee relations, and drive business efficiencies. My legal career has included working for 17+ years at Carlton Fields, where I advanced from associate attorney to shareholder, and subsequently to managing shareholder of the Tampa office. I represented companies in numerous industries, advising them on employer-related legal compliance issues and defending them in employment-related claims, including federal and state lawsuits involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, failure to pay minimum or overtime wages, violations of the FMLA, and violations of non-compete restrictive covenants. I also represented companies in the construction industry, including large-scale national home builders, general contractors, suppliers, and manufacturers in the areas of construction defects, contract disputes and OSHA investigation and compliance.In May 2021, I joined PODS, the leading moving and storage company, as its Vice President, Associate General Counsel. In my current role, I handle all facets of regulatory compliance, business strategy, contracts negotiations, risk management, and operational policies and procedures. As a former Division I basketball player, I believe in the power of teamwork. Whether working with colleagues or clients, I take a collaborative, partnership approach that drives stakeholder buy-in and builds consensus. I am committed to serving the Tampa Bay community and giving back to the legal profession through multiple strategic initiatives and leadership efforts across areas of diversity, nonprofit fundraising, and public service.
