I am currently a senior at Baker College of Cadillac Bachelor of Science and Nursing program. I am very excited to report that I will be graduating this upcoming December 2019. So far in my nursing education, I have enjoyed every aspect of healthcare. However, as a new graduate nurse, I am very interested in beginning my career in an emergency or critical care. I am also currently an active member of the Michigan Army National Guard and have been serving my country for the past 11 years. Upon graduation, I would like to apply my nursing education in my military career. I am a member of the National Student Nurses Association (NSNA) and served two terms as the Co-Secretary on the executive board for or the Baker College School of Nursing Student Nurses' Association Cadillac Campus (BCSNACC). I define myself as a very compassionate, optimistic, vibrant, and dedicated. Throughout my whole adult life, I have always been drawn to serving other people in some form or another. I feel that every person deserves to be cared for in an environment that fosters compassion. I am becoming a nurse because of the compassion I have for caring for other people.
