BAR Analyst backfill for Epic Migration. Doing the day to day analyst duties for their Meditech system.

Lead a clean-up effort at a large MEDITECH Hospital following an unsatisfactory merger conducted by another firm. Kept weekly status report up to date with DNFB totals, Claim information, Etc for weekly status call with CFO and the Directors of all Revenue Cycle departments. Lead weekly status meeting, helped prioritize issues and maintained a detailed action item list.Met with Business Office Director and Billing Manager as well as the end users to assess and implement a more streamlined Free Care process including implementing the use of the Scanning function in BAR and training staff.Created a new Policy and Procedure for the new Free Care process as well as many other process documents for the end users. Set up testing accounts to test outside agency notes uploading to MEDITECH Accounts.Assisted in a process improvement initiative for the physician same day physician billing.Assisted in identifying remittance issues to help improve automated remit posting.Worked with Business Office Director in cleaning up the Canned Text and Letter Dictionaries.Assisted in cleaning up errors in Emdeon and created a process document for staff.Worked on purging accounts with no activity from the MEDITECH systemCreated ICD-10 claim map and TESTED and moved to live for the ICD-10 go live

Billing and Accounts Receivable analyst reviewing all the BAR system assigned dictionaries (Account Type, Billing Group, Collection Group, Biller, etc.). Met with Management to determine current dependencies on the current setup and the potential effects of a change to Workflow, Reports, Claims, General Ledger and the Accounts Receivables. Assisted in creating a proposal of a new streamlined configuration of the account types from 130+ to 10 showing a reduction of Accounts falling into the unbillable category of 800+ ($900,000.00) to normal levels of 2 to 5 a day. Assisted in implementing the changes, refilling 1.4 million accounts across 4 facilities with no downtime. Assisted in implementing new workflows to address the Catch-all accounts on a daily basis. Continued working with staff on training them on keeping the Catch-all accounts at zero.Assisted in identified and changing all Reports impacted by the change (48). Completed the project on schedule and on budget.

Setup of the MEDITECH 5010 Claim and Remittance Programs.Assisted in identifying, testing and implementing claim checks to identify denials pre-billing.Worked with Patient Access and Radiology to enhance work flow and increase productivity.Supported Business Office Director, Billing Managers, helped prioritize value add” issues that required enhancements or resolve.  Implemented BAR Cashiering in the Business Office. Created a policy and procedure for cash posting in BAR and in PFS.
