Lori obtained her first certification through Dreamwinds & Cartier Farms Equine Assisted Learning, established Horse Ability and started providing Equine-Assisted Activities and Therapies (EAAT) services in June 2015, offering experiential programs whereby a person learns and strengthens essential life skills through working with a qualified facilitator and horses. Since that time, Lori has since completed two more certifications; Equine-Assisted Growth and Learning Association (EAGALA), a global organization which is a distinct approach to professional mental health and personal development, through personal empowerment and physical experiences by working with a qualified facilitation team consisting of a Mental Health Professional and an Equine Specialist.The TA Method where equine partners and practitioners connect and work together. A method to motivate and support clients in exploring and creating solutions for life. “Horses helping people”.Horse Ability’s strength comes from the desire to assist participants with their journey to better health, understanding the horse, by being perceptive to the powerful nature of human behavior and in providing a unique environment conducive to learning. Lori facilitates EAAT programs to people challenged with the effects of Post-Traumatic Stress Injuries, Occupational Stress Injuries, substance misuse, trauma, abuse, grief / loss, behavioral issues, developmental delays, as well as offering self-discovery, team building and leadership workshops through individual, semi-private and group sessions.
