After many years in private practice, Lori joined the Legal Department of Turner Construction Company in March, 2021. She represents Turner in the negotiation of its agreements with project owners, subcontractors, suppliers and joint venture partners, as well as project lenders and design professionals. She has experience with all forms of construction project delivery, including general contracting, CM at risk, agency CM, design-build, and integrated project delivery.While her focus is on contract drafting and negotiation, she also provides advice relative to claims management and avoidance, indemnity, risk allocation and management, and loss prevention. Additionally, she understands insurance provisions and products, a key element of any risk analysis and contract negotiation.She has a reputation for practicality and clients have credited her extensive knowledge and experience as well as her calm demeanor as key factors in getting to yes. Because Lori has considerable experience representing each of the many stakeholders in construction projects as well as commercial transactions, she has an appreciation for the competing interests in play. This allows her to avoid wasting time on unworkable proposals and fashion practical solutions to the issues at hand.Lori is grateful for the opportunity to have played a role in many, many significant projects, including the construction of hospitals, stadiums, hotels, arenas, schools, manufacturing facilities, office towers, and university buildings, among others.
