Multimedia Foundations and Graphic Design TeacherServe as a Graphic Design and Computer Technology teacher for grades 9 – 12. Teach Macintosh-based Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, iWork and iLife programs. Students completed both book assignments and individual projects including autobiography book covers, DVD and CD covers, self-portraits, web design, Doodle for Google national competition and various tutorials. Administer Adobe Certification test to all students.Yearbook and Newspaper Journalism TeacherServe as Journalism teacher for both Yearbook and Newspaper classes for student-produced publications. Focus on journalistic style writing, designing and interviewing skills for student journalists. Advise a staff of 35 students to produce a 224-page yearbook and an online newspaper. Also teach 9th grade students Journalism I/Mass Media journalism and English basics for use in established journalism track.TV Production and Broadcast Journalism TeacherServe as a TV Production and Broadcast Journalism teacher for grades 9 – 12, beginners to advanced. Focus on script writing, research, interviewing and editing skills to create effective segments for our daily show. Teach Macintosh-based Final Cut Pro and iMovie and GarageBand. Oversee a student-produced daily show and encourage students to enter local and national competitions and arrange internships at BECON’s BTN.English and Writing Teacher Taught 10th grade English with focuses on literature, grammar and vocabulary.
