My objective is to fully use my Nursing skills to help patients achieve the best possible outcomes. I enjoy the challenge of caring for adult patients with multiple medical problems. Dialysis patients tend to be medically complex. This treatment offers them time to live that they would not have without it. Since they are treated three times per week, it is possible to develop a long term relationship with them. Yet, for each one, eventually, there is an endpoint where the dialysis is no longer effective or possible. Then, the opportunity lies in helping them through this last stage of their lives as well. It is for all of these reasons that I feel so drawn to working with dialysis patients.
