My responsibilities include curriculum development, working closely with teachers on their lesson plans, formally observing and evaluating teachers, providing professional development, creating and implementing a weekly Asefa (opening program), preparing and sending out a weekly newsletter, creating and implementing all school-wide programming, providing family education, working with students who have special needs, maintaining orderly systems so that the school runs smoothly and safely, maintaining the upkeep of our school building, and keeping track of the school’s budget and payroll. Additionally, along with the congregation’s rabbi, I was responsible for hiring our seven teachers. During my two years at Kol Tzedek, enrollment at the school grew from 27 to 40 students, an increase of 148%. Show less

I work with students and faculty to build up the Jewish community at West Chester University. I do this through individual meetings with students, leadership training, helping to run student board meetings, fundraising on behalf of WCU Hillel, teaching both formally and informally, and helping to facilitate Shabbat and other Jewish holidays.

I worked with students on research projects, helping them to learn skills in how to do research, how to take notes, how to cite sources, and how to turn notes into a research paper.
