Experienced claims director and in house counsel. I have a demonstrated history of successful complex claims resolution and litigation management. I recently completed six years in house at a diversified energy company where I managed nationwide litigation for commercial trucking, marine transportation, workers compensation and employment matters. I designed and implemented streamlined in-house claims processes and directed the claims team.Before transitioning to an in house position, I spent fifteen years in private practice in a large firm representing employers and carriers in workers’ compensation claims. I particularly enjoy the art of negotiation and have a reputation for being firm but fair and for delivering work that is well-researched, precise, and correct the first time. I am particularly strong in claims and litigation management and have extensive experience in complex insurance program management, broker relations, and other areas of risk management, with a focus in casualty and marine programs. I am comfortable leading teams in-person, working independently, and everything in between. I have managed claims across four US time zones and incidents that happen at every hour of the day. I appreciate a workday that does not have a defined beginning or end. I do, however, make it a priority to maintain a work-life balance that ensures my commitment to my family, my friends, and time for things I enjoy outside of work.
