This includes assessing business needs, performing research/analysis of products/services, drafting detailed specifications, conducting or providing leadership in the competitive bidding process, risk assessment, negotiation of contracts and participation in the review of vendor performance.

Under the general supervision of the Director of Purchasing, performs the day to day processing of accounts payable transactions to ensure that municipal finances are maintained in an effective, up to date and accurate manner. Daily processing of purchase orders and assisting with maintaining inventory stock levels. Oversees the work of the Accounts Clerk I.
