Supervising 2 accounting technicians and 2 accounting clerks to ensure they are meeting deadlines and that they are following all policy and procedures. Verifying data entry, batch entry, journal entries and account reconciliations prepared by staff to ensure accuracy. Includes final posting of all a/p, a/r and g/l batches. Reviewing cheques for final approval so they can be distrubuted/mailed out by accounts payable. Approving vacation time, timesheets and overtime as required. Preparation and submission of monthly financial statements for residential properties managed by Colliers. Bank reconciliations. Preparation and running of cheques for payables. Various administrative duties such as data entry of bills, deposits, etc. Over seeing of arrears (for receivables) including sending deliquent accounts to collections.

Balancing and journalizing payroll. Preparation and data entry of journal entries. Processing and distribution of monthly financial statements. Reconciliation of US and Canadian bank statements. Overseeing daily operations of a/p, purchasing and a/r and lending assistance as required. Verifying and signing off on cheques to vendors.
