Handled all aspects of mortgage lending. When I took my Mortgage Broker test I received the highest score in the State of Florida at 98% by missing only one question. Worked with an amazing woman from Brazil who speaks three languages including Portuguese, Spanish and English. I was recruited after attending college at the University of Kansas to accept a position as the first female labor negotiation in the trucking industry. My role was to be the Executive Secretary to run the East Coast Tank Truck Industry. At the age of 22 and after only 3 months of training I learned law and the application of the law representing the NLRB who oversees the process of grievance proceedings with the International Brother of Teamsters. I was completely responsible for running the meetings between Management and Teamsters. My role was critical in the handling of grievances prior to arbitration. I set up meetings traveled extensively to insure the resolution of conflicts that arose in the trucking industry including crossing pickets line to insure a peaceful outcome resolving labor issues. I also met with the Head of the Teamsters union in Washington DC to negotiate the terms of the NATIONAL MASTER FREIGHT AGREEMENT. My role was to take Minutes of the meetings, book meetings, run the meetings solely under the direction of the head attorney Robert J. Bray. After traveling a minimum of 3 days weekly, I was also responsible for researching cases in the NLRB, Editor of the Trucking Newsletter regarding any changes to the NLRB law and also handled and wrote the briefs for arbitration. With a stellar record of 12 wins and 1 tie I never lost an arbitration case. It was a challenging position as I was the first and only woman in the country appointed to this difficult challenge at the age of 22.
