With nearly 30 years of experience, I am passionate about restoring dignity and power to victims of domestic violence.Since joining Safe Journey in 1994 as a counselor advocate, my leadership has been pivotal in shaping programs, policies, and outreach efforts. I became Executive Director in 2007 and co-founded the Rural Erie County Domestic Violence Task Force and Erie County Domestic Violence Safe Service Network. We secured a $750,000 federal grant. Under my leadership we created PurpleOne, a national award-winning evidence-based bystander intervention program designed to educate communities about domestic violence. In 2023, I was honored with the Purple Ribbon Award for Shelter Executive of the Year. Our mission is to continues to push boundaries with Orange Circles, a teen dating violence awareness campaign, while expanding PurpleOne nationwide. Lori’s work unites communities in the fight to end domestic violence. -
