It is also my role to promote the importance of volunteering in the community through my work, with my young people often completing over 30 hours within a 12 week basis. Show less

To provide a high standard of customer service and general reception duties, greeting and dealing with customers and complaints. This role requires being able to work as a key team player but also independently due to some hours being reduced staff. I am also responsible for pro-actively promoting, selling and setting up gym memberships along with general administration duties required by senior managers.

Chipping Sodbury

I was a leader in charge of a popular youth centre, located in the Chipping Sodbury area. I was responsible for planning and delivering positive activities with young people from the local area.I was also in charge of the health and safety of sessions and general management of the building when it was open.I took a strong interest in development of the centre including marketing and processes.

Yate

I carried out relief shift work for a youth hostel supporting young people in need in the South Glos area. The organisation also takes responsibility for a block of flats on site and a shared house nearby. I was a key holder who helped the residents in times of emergency, with both emotional and physical support.

Thornbury

I was responsible for general administration duties, within a busy department within the world leading optical company. This was a temporary contract.

Southern India- Karnataka

To lead a successful international public health project, built up of Indian nationals and English volunteers. I was challenged to complete a new sanitary system in a rural village in southern india. I was responsible for:- Health and safety- Finances- Man power- Evaluation

I volunteered on a weekly basis at a drop in session held alongside the sexual health drop in session held at Yate Westgate Centre. Young people often seen as vulnerable or not in education, drop in to get information on sexual health and a range of issues. We advise on accommodation, job opportunities through to discussing family problems. To provide administration duties to several senior members of staff within the busy stop smoking team at NHS Bristol. This included working independently to arrange meetings, training days, conferences and national ‘No Smoking Day’. I was required to deal with heavy workloads and enjoyed working within this pressurised environment where meeting goals and deadlines was crucial.
