CurrentServe in an advisory capacity to Principals regarding special educationSupport and facilitate differentiated and rigorous instructionWork with school staff to connect the core curriculum, specially designed instruction, inclusive practices, and interventions to the academic goals of students' Individualized Education ProgramSupport staff in developing functional behavioral assessments and behavioral support plans. Coordinate and communicate with related service providers, other support staff, and parents regarding programs and services. Receive ongoing targeted professional development with the expectation of providing turnaround training and support at the school level.Serve as the key point of contact for stakeholders and provide leadership to support special education initiatives, teaching, and achievement.Develop models of service delivery to students with disabilities, for example, inclusion, and co-teaching.Coordinate all initial placement activities, transition meetings, and processes involving other schools, regions, central office, and the state.Develop, supervise, and monitor transitions plans to support learners in deciding what they want to do after school and to begin planning and preparing for independence.
