Head of the Math Department for grades Junior Kindergarten to 8th grade. Mathematics teacher as well from general to honors courses.

Self-started company includes tutoring/interview coaching, but also a motivational/public speaking division. Developed and delivered learning content for various subjects and audiences. Created learning programs for libraries, companies (Lunch and Learn), and schools. Speaking engagements are at various venues, workplaces, libraries, and organizations. A TED talk was a major highlight/accomplishment for October 2015. Media coverage, including various feature articles, a magazine cover, two television appearances, and podcasts, have been major highlights as well. Managed day-to-day operations of the business: record keeping, payroll (ADP), business transactions, debits and credits.

Responsibilities included developing new washes, powders, sprays, and pantiliner prototypes. New test methods were created and current test methods were improved upon. Created learning programs for new hires regarding GMP/SOP training, policies, procedures, and instrumentation. Was principal trainer in the department. Conducted market research, patent research, and data analysis for various categories regarding new products to be developed or for finished products ready to be introduced. Coordinating and networking with various departments on the Skillman site (i.e. Marketing to co-develop concepts), as well as Montreal (i.e. manufacturing) were also important facets of my position. Conducted consumer tests of developed products. This involved designing computer methodology, contacting research suppliers, preparing medical and regulatory paperwork, arranging product packaging/labeling, data analysis, and report writing. Attending and conducting focus groups were also essential. An additional responsibility was training new and temporary employees in techniques and procedures.

Responsibilities included formulating low-cost hair care products for the overseas market. Developing test procedures was also vital in my position. Another role in this position was principal trainer. New technicians and scientists were trained on GMP, SOP, procedures, and instrumentation. Created a new hire training program to ensure consistency. Involved in development of next generation hair care products incorporating new polymers, types of packaging, and low V.O.C. technologies for aerosol and non-aerosol applications. Created shampoo, conditioner, gel, mousse, and hairspray formulations. Evaluated alternate propellant systems which was a significant cost savings for a $4 million hair spray business. Worked closely with Marketing to deliver products that fit country needs and helped develop questions for focus groups.

Responsibilities included testing finished, semi-finished, and stability tablets to ensure product quality. Supervisor backup tasks, as well as analyst training, instrument calibration, standards handling, troubleshooting, and aiding other departments were also vital in my position. Tests included Content Uniformity, Assay, Dissolution, Disintegration, Identification, and Procedure Validation. Also served as GMP representative for the group. Additionally worked in the In Process Laboratory (Kenilworth, NJ) on weekends.Research Apparatus Experience: HPLC, GC, dissolution baths, Bio-Dis dissolution apparatus, polarimeter, IR, disintegration apparatus, 8450 spectrophotometer, and computer.
