Technical project manager on the Enterprise Productivity Services team responsible for overseeing the migration to Office 365 Exchange Online for Medtronic and Covidien. Project includes leading and managing a global, cross-functional team of 40+ to successfully define, scope, plan and migrate 80k+ mailboxes to an O365 multi-geo tenant. I also simultaneously led the implementation of cloud based email hygiene solution, Unified Messaging and trained a new full-time PM to lead the migration of email archives to O365.

06/03 to present: I have worked as a Senior Project Leader, IT Manager and Program Manager providing IT consulting services to Medtronic.

I was responsible for the day-to-day operation of the information security education and awareness program for Medtronic including: implementing targeted security awareness campaigns; developing and promoting security-related best practices; integrating best practices into business processes and assisting in the creation of information protection standards.

I was responsible for gathering and delivering all application data for the Cardiac Rhythm Disease Management (CRDM) division for entry into Medtronic's Enterprise Application Portfolio. The purpose of this project was to reduce overall application costs by 4% for the CRDM division over a two-year period.

I was the senior project leader responsible for simultaneously coordinating and implementing the delivery of two applications designed for Personal Digital Assistants (PDAs) for Neurological field representatives. I also served as the interim manager of the Engineering Services team from March 2007 to May 2007 while a new manager was being selected.

I served as the interim manager of the Engineering Services (ES) team from October 2005 to May 2006 while a new manager was being selected. I was responsible for planning, organizing and managing a staff of 14 and overall operations to ensure the stable operation of the CRDM IT infrastructure. My responsibilities included developing, maintaining, supporting and optimizing key functional areas such as network and server infrastructure, data communications and database services.

I was responsible for developing a multi-year strategy plan for the Engineering Service department. The strategy included implementing server virtualization; blade servers; tiered storage and tape virtualization. I assisted the ES team in the implementation and execution of the strategy. With the exception of tape virtualization; all of the technologies addressed in the strategic plan were implemented within the next two years, first in CRDM and then in data centers through-out the world at Medtronic. I was the senior project leader responsible for delivering a project to modify an existing battery usage application so it could be used to understand the current battery usage status of an implanted medical device. This was an extremely high priority project for Medtronic. My team successfully delivered the battery usage application on time and within budget.

Developed and implemented a disaster recovery plan for business critical applications that were hosted in the CRDM IT data center. I was a co-project leader on an international cross-functional team hired to develop a disaster recovery plan for CRDM business critical manufacturing applications. I was the senior project leader responsible for delivering a web-based application that allowed district managers to view sales revenue information for their district and enter sales planning information for their accounts.

When Medtronic acquired MiniMed, I was responsible for managing Medtronic's first coordinated effort to integrate all infrastructure service areas simultaneously. I developed a global approach to shared services integration that could be used for integrating new or existing business unit's IT infrastructures with Medtronic Shared Services.I was also the lead infrastructure Project Manager responsible for successfully implementing several other business applications within the infrastructure shared services technical environment.

Implemented a Strategic Information Technology Plan for an organization of 30 staff in two locations, comprising conversion from a mini-computer system (with incompatible desktop OS and applications, and no connectivity) to a fully integrated NT network (utilizing SQL Server, Exchange Server, and MS Office 2000 desktops). Planned and executed the installation of a new line of business system to replace a mini-computer system. The project included customization of a Great Plains eEnterprise package to meet specific organization needs, conversion of all legacy data, including five-year detailed sales histories, design and creation of custom Crystal Reports, and complete staff training. From the first project meeting to go-live was four months.
