With over 15 years of experience in teaching, instructional design, and educational technology, I am passionate about creating and fostering meaningful learning opportunities for diverse learners across various disciplines and environments. As an ELD & Instructional Technology Teacher at Estes Park High School, I use innovative tools and strategies to support the language development and academic achievement of English learners, as well as to enhance the digital literacy and creativity of all students.I also work in the nonprofit arm of the Museum Store Company, writing grants to facilitate universal access to museum pieces and exhibits for under-represented K-12 students by 3D printing and the development of virtual museums and exhibits. Additionally, I am a Board Member of the Estes Park Learning Place, a community-based organization that provides tutoring and enrichment programs for learners of all ages and abilities. Furthermore, I am a Manager of Operations & Lead Designer at Dangerous Fruit, an educational technology organization that offers consulting and design services for online and blended learning solutions. Lastly, I am a Scholar in Residence at Museum Institute, where I conduct research and disseminate knowledge on the intersection of museums, education, and technology. My goal in all my roles is to bridge gaps, hone natural abilities, and spark passions and pursuits that are productive and purposeful for the learners and the communities I serve. I hold a PhD in Educational Technology from the University of Northern Colorado, an MA in Romance Languages and Literatures from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and a BA in Classics from the University of Colorado at Boulder. I am fluent in Spanish, Latin, and Ancient Greek, and I enjoy skiing, traveling, and being the "best aunt in the world" to my nieces and nephews.
