As an instructor for SWTC, I am certified by the Wisconsin Training and Standards Board to teach law enforcment classes. I am certified to teach general law enforcement classes. Specifically I teach, Hazardous Materials for Law Enforcement. This class is a basic hazardous materials amd Emergency Response Guidebook familiarization course. I also teach Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitaion classes.

From January 2008 to December 2014 I was the Motor Carrier Supervisor for the Tomah Post, Wisconsin State Patrol. I supervised 10 inspectors and two Safety and Weight Facilities over a 7 county area in southwest Wisconsin. In addition to normal supervisory duties, I was active in statewide enforcement details and training. I set-up and supervised numerous motorcoach inspection details involving up to 45 inspectors from around the state. I developed and presented the hazardous materials in-state training. I was trained as a Master Instructor for the Federal Motor Carrier National Training Center (NTC), and taught the following classes for NTC: General Hazardous Materials, Cargo Tank and Other Bulk Packages.

My primary responsibility was to enforce the laws of the State of Wisconsin focusing on Motor Carrier enforcement. Included in the duties were the inspections of school busses and other in-state passenger carrying vehicles. I also enforced the Federal Motor Carrier laws. I maintained certifications in Level 1, Hazardous Materials and Motorcoach inspections. I taught several in-state classes including Defensive and Arrest Tactics, CPR and Hazardous Materials. I taught General Hazardous Materials for the Federal Motor Carrier National Training Center.
