About Lori Eberly, Phd
Driven entrepreneur and long-term care professional with a desire for helping others achieve their goals. After a rewarding career which included helping families navigate the maze of long-term care options, helping senior care businesses build their brand, and conducting research to shape long-term care policy, I am now in academia helping future health care leaders hone their skills and discover their passion. My undergraduate education focused on Health Policy and Public Health. My early career experience in public health provided me with valuable exposure to the disparities and inequalities that exist in our country, particularly in healthcare. Driven to change what I was seeing, I transitioned to administration within the private sector while pursuing my graduate-level degree in Healthcare Administration. My career experience shifted from public health to long-term care, which is where I discovered my passion for working with older adults and developed a lifelong commitment to improving long-term care for our aging population. I am naturally inquisitive and motivated to build things from the ground up. I enjoy contributing in a way that allows me to question or research why things are the way they are and how they can be improved. My skill set includes strategic planning and implementation, above-average problem solving, critical thinking ability, and developing creative approaches. I am a proven mentor, coach, and consultant for all things related to caring for our seniors. Anyone who has worked with me or has heard me talk about caring for our aging population knows that my dedication and commitment to this field is unparalleled.
