I was born and raised in Leduc Alberta Canada. This small, redneck oil town spends most of every year under piles of snow, which gave me the inspiration to seek warmer weather and more diverse opportunities. After leaving Alberta, I moved to Vancouver where I worked for MAC Cosmetics for over a decade on and off and was the lead singer of an all-MAC-all-girl band called Porn Star Galaxy. From there I moved to Byron Bay Australia where I co-owned and operated The Byron Bay Surf School for 5 glorious, hard working years. In 2005 my partner and I sold the surf school and I moved back to North America and have been living between Canada and Venice Beach California for the last 10 years. My husband is in the acting "biz" and in 2014 we finally got our US Green Cards. However, I used my time wisely in the US without my Green Card -- I did a yoga teacher training and I spent 8 years volunteering with The Children's Lifesaving Foundation based in Venice Beach, CA. My time with The CLF inspired me to start my own non-profit based in Canada called The Sunny Day Foundation that I launched in 2014. The Sunny Day has been one of best things I've done and has been nothing but heart warming and rewarding. In Feb.2015 --my friend and writing partner and I launched a lifestyle blog called J'aime & Lu.
