Lori Gassie is a full service costume design and wardrobe styling company that creates personalized looks for each client. Every lifestyle, performance role, and character is different and requires a unique look. Wardrobe styling services include full closet assessments/clean outs, personalized shopping plans, and in-home styling sessions to document how new purchases should be worn. Students are split into different classes with "Kids"​ ages 6-12 and "Teens" ages 13-17. Classes taught:· Sewing and Design - Kids classes were taught basic projects like tank tops, t-shirts, pajama pants, circle skirts, sundresses, and tote bags. Teens got to design their own outfit, were taken shopping, and were taught to create their own custom look.· Fashion Illustration - All ages were taught the principles of 9 Heads. Curriculum included figure drawing, fashion poses, detailed faces, and the elements of clothing leading them to design collections at the end of the class.· Fashion/Retail Branding - Students were put into small groups to develop their own store concepts. They created customer profiles, store logos, mood/inspiration boards, store floor plans, window displays, business cards, and commercials working to form a cohesive fashion brand.· Private Sewing Lessons - Custom design and sewing lessons were taught based on client requests.

· Design new costumes for the children's division (specializing in ages 3-8) following current trends and licenses while taking each design from conceptual sketch to finished garment · Develop seasonal lines as well as custom designs and programs for individual retailers, including but not limited to Target, Walmart, and Toys R Us.· Coordinate line and prepare samples for photo shoots, trade shows, fashion shows, and showroom presentations

· Provided personal wardrobe styling services to online clients by creating customized shoppable lookbooks. Items were selected from collections from our partnered retailers such as Shopbop, Bloomingdales, etc. Lookbooks included 4-10 looks to individually fit the style and needs of each client.

· Design new costumes for the women’s sexy division following current trends taking each design from conceptual sketch to finished garment · Facilitate sample-making for styles submitted by freelance designers· Correct and approve all fit and color samples from overseas manufacturers· Coordinate line and prepare samples for photo shoots, trade shows, fashion shows, and showroom

· Design and pattern costumes for dance (ballet, tap, jazz, team, lyrical) for the company line and for custom orders · Increase profits through efficient use of materials and effective design creation· Manage and approve all foreign outsourcing of design samples and new fabrics through email correspondence and personal travel to China

· Costume Design - Design and create custom costume designs for performance artists, dance, theater, film, burlesque, drag, cosplay, etc to meet the needs of their event or performance.· Wardrobe Styling - New clients start with an Initial Wardrobe Consultation to go over their body type, complexion, lifestyle and existing wardrobes. - Develop a shopping plan to address their needs. - Style their new clothing into full outfits and created web-based or printed lookbooks for clients to utilize once the styling session is complete.

· Design and pattern custom costumes for performance sports and activities (talent costumes for pageants, competitive figure skating, twirling, dancing, etc).· Supervise shop production in the cutting, patterning, and sewing of custom costume orders· Drive sales through facilitation of new designs and positive customer relations
