Currently lead Kent County's communication and government affairs to deliver information, promote utilization of services, and build and maintain positive relationships with the public.

Directed a program that assisted international patients in navigating through the healthcare system at U-M. • Co-championed, launched and led an International Patient Program. Member of a task force that developed standard protocols and processes for the program.• Managed all aspects of a $250K (annual), donor-funded patient support program that provided financial assistance to patients with thyroid eye disease.

Directed the planning, development, and oversight of the Patient Facilitated Services program, which facilitates the clinical needs of major gift donors. Advised the Acting Associate VP and Chief Development Officer on administrative and operational issues. Supervised two employees, and worked with the Director to manage personnel issues. • Promoted to a leadership role – Chief of Staff – after only five months as a Sr. Administrative Manager.• Led a rebranding initiative for Patient Facilitated Services and designed standardized processes for donor qualification and administrative protocols.• Coordinated non-medical logistics for a high-profile dignitary from the Middle East. Following successful treatment, the dignitary donated $1M in financial assistance for patients in need.

Managed daily operations of a presidential campaign. Orchestrated numerous events, guided grassroots activities, and coordinated the activities of volunteers. Identified surrogates to speak on behalf of the candidate. Built strong relationships with Michigan Legislators and the Congressional Delegation to streamline event planning.• Orchestrated the activities of countless volunteers to promote the candidate and his platform.• Planned and coordinated numerous events – from business roundtables to large rallies of 5,000-10,000.

Designed and implemented strategic communication plans, managed media relations for both traditional and social media, wrote speeches and publications, monitored and evaluated legislation, and spoke at committee hearings as a representative for the organization.• Designed and launched a multi-media “Code Blue” campaign that highlighted the value of Michigan hospitals to reduce funding cuts.• Campaign Manager for “Citizens for a Healthy Michigan” – a statewide ballot initiative to secure tobacco settlement funding for smoking prevention and tobacco-related health care.
