The culmination of my experience is unique and mixed utilizing all my skill sets in each application. My strengths are in ideation, intellection, strategy, learning and input. I have worked in civil engineering, testing density on asphalt, aggregate and soil samples for road projects. Completed a NASA NCAS internship building a well functioning, mock aerospace company, and helping with streamlining every aspect of the project. Ten years in the marine industry teaching sailing as a sea captain, delivering sailboats, working as a deckhand for a DOD subcontractor for NATO submarine warfare practice retrieval, a bosun in a schooner, laying fiber optic cable on the ocean floor, and as a commercial fishing deckhand in Alaska. When my mother was diagnosed with Parkinson's I changed career paths and dove into Ayurveda. I have worked privately with Parkinson's patients' teaching meditation, yoga, and philosophy resulting in a very agreeable outcome in their overall comfort and health. Utilizing Ayurvedic medicine, elemental excesses or depletions are balanced through the introduction of opposite qualities. Each of the five primary elements (Ether/Space, Air, Fire, Water, and Earth) are present in everything in existence. I am interested in applying this lens in application to finishing Aerospace engineering and applied meteorology degrees. I am looking for internships with a focus on propulsion, novel technology and design. I wish to contribute an ‘outside of the box’ thought process for Parkinson’s research, deep space, solar sails, space weather forecasting, international yacht racing and environmental pollution reduction projects.
