A committed and powerful advocate for addiction recovery, Lorinda oversees all daily operations of the Orchard, a private residential center located near Vancouver, Canada. Quality of care and treatment are both her passion and expertise. Sharing her own experience with addiction and recovery, she radiates strength and hope to clients, employers and families. “Our goal is for clients to leave the Orchard ready to live life feeling emotionally strong, personally accountable and excited about their ongoing recovery," she says,”at the core of our work is the absolute conviction that all clients can succeed." Lorinda is also the co-founder of Faces and Voices of Recovery Canada and Recovery Day which received an award in Washington, D.C. from SAMHSA (Substance Abuse Mental Health Services Administration) in 2013. Called upon as an expert witness, Lorinda has spoken at the Canadian House of Commons Standing Committee on Health Drug Caucus, and was on a panel of experts that presented before Combating Prescription Drug Abuse Caucus in Ottawa.
