Lori Ann Ospina is a seasoned social entrepreneur with an expertise for bringing policy innovation to life. Prior to founding workFWD, Ospina directed the design and planning of the Stockton Economic Empowerment Demonstration (SEED), the country’s first city-specific guaranteed income initiative. Previously, Ospina led research operations for a groundbreaking experiment at the University of California, Hastings College of Law that collaborated with Gap Inc. to evaluate the impact of more predictable scheduling practices on front-line retail workers. Early in her career, Ospina pioneered the Grameen Foundation's first field-office in Latin America and led data-driven programs that enabled rural farmers to compete in the modern economy. With a Master’s in Public Policy from the University of California, Berkeley, Ospina is committed to reimagining the social contract and radically reducing poverty in the 21st century.
