The Hertz IT Information Security program is a centralized global function supporting users worldwide and multiple business functions in a diverse computing environment. Developed and managed various IT Security System projects protecting the, confidentiality, integrity and availability of network assets including meeting regulatory, business and IT Audit compliance. Developed and coordinatied Global Information Security Business Plan and Business Review. Key Contributions: * Developed and maintained; Global Information Security System Architecture and Global Information Security Strategic Plan to support company business strategy and goals. * Performed vulnerability assessments and risk analysis of network computing infrastructure and developed executive level risk mitigation proposals to support PCI, SOX, EU, HIPPA, business and IT audit requirements.* Performed comprehensive risk analysis of global patch management function, developed new solution and managed global implementation to Europe, Americas, New Zealand, Australia and Asia. Implementation of this solution supported PCI DSS requirements resulting in an estimated cost avoidance of $4.5 million over 3 years.* Designed and implemented Unified Certificate Authority solution. Managed eight IS professionals and two 3rd party consultants for global implementation that supported over 5,000 remote users. Solution supported the PCI DSS requirement for Two Factor Authentication. Designed solution to provide ability to identify systems as they connect to network, perform security compliance check and require remediation of non-compliant systems.

Designed, installed, configured and provided daily administration of the iSeries systems new to Hertz computing environment. Reviewed vendor software system requirements and provide recommendations to support the Hertz Heavy Equipment Rental and Claims Management business unit functions. Key Contributions:* Project Lead on several software application conversions from OS/390 to iSeries software, coordinating requirements, tasks, scheduling and contingency planning.* Reviewed vendor defined iSeries hardware and software requirements and redefined the final configuration to support business needs saving the company over $265,000. * Configured communications interface between iSeries and OS/390 system to provide file transfers and user accessibility functions. Designed and developed supporting user utility menu systems.* Administration of daily system operations, act as liaison to 3rd party software vendors. Provided exceptional 24/7 system and Business Unit support. * Developed Disaster Recovery Plan and performed annual DR exercise at party hot-site for iSeries systems.
