What keeps me up at night is that at least 1 in 2 people of all genders will experience interpersonal violence or abuse in their lifetime -- most commonly perpetrated by people they know. Complicated by systems of power-over and oppression, this has unquantifiable negative impacts on our brains, physical and mental health, relationships, schools, workplaces, economy, and communities -- but it doesn't have to be this way. Using a somatic, ecosystem-based approach, I collaborate with groups and individuals to create new paradigms of connection that meet the core human needs of safety, dignity, and belonging. Through trauma-conscious and intersectional education, coaching, somatic movement/dance, truth-telling, and spoken word art, the Rose Model for Healthy Relationships supports teens and adults to prevent harm, integrate their whole selves, and take meaningful action toward their life visions.This translates to a reclaimed sense of self, supportive connections, healthier and safer campuses, thriving teams, and a domino effect of reversing harmful dynamics both interpersonally and systemically. Our ultimate goal in co-creating healthy connections is to liberate human potential and grow expansive, supportive, and more sustainable communities.
